The Seven Hermetic Principles

The Kybalion's seven laws — what they say, where they come from, and how to use them.

The Kybalion, published in Chicago in 1908 by "Three Initiates" (widely believed to be the New Thought writer William Walker Atkinson), presents seven "Hermetic Principles". It is not an ancient text — it belongs to the American New Thought movement and owes more to 19th-century ideas than to the Corpus Hermeticum — but its principles are clear, memorable and widely used as a framework for magical thinking.
