Refund Policy
Cancel any time and keep access to the end of the month you have paid for. If you cancel within 14 days of first joining, we refund your first payment in full.

In short
- You can cancel whenever you like, in two clicks, from your account page.
- Cancelling stops future charges. You keep member access until the end of the period you have paid for.
- Within 14 days of your first payment: full refund, no questions asked.
- Later monthly renewals are not normally refunded, except in the cases listed in section 3.
- Your legal rights as a consumer are not affected by anything here.
1. How to cancel
Go to your account page and choose Manage billing / cancel. This opens your billing portal, run by Stripe, where you can cancel the subscription, change your card or download invoices. You can also cancel by emailing support@occultum.co.uk from the address on your account.
When you cancel, nothing more is charged. Your membership continues until the end of the month you have already paid for and then returns to the free Seeker plan. Your account, journal, settings and progress are kept, so you can rejoin at any time.
2. Your 14-day right to cancel
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 you have 14 days from the day you first subscribe to change your mind. If you cancel within those 14 days we refund your first payment in full, even though you have had member access in the meantime. (The regulations would allow us to keep a proportion for the days used; we choose not to.) This applies to your first membership; it does not restart if you cancel and later rejoin.
To use it, cancel through the billing portal or email us within the 14 days. You do not have to give a reason.
3. Renewals
After the first 14 days, each monthly payment buys the month ahead and is not normally refundable: cancel before the renewal date to avoid the next charge. We will, however, refund a renewal payment in full where:
- you were charged after you had cancelled, or charged twice for the same period;
- a fault on our side stopped you using the member features for more than seven days in a row (we will refund that month or, if you prefer, extend your membership);
- the law requires it.
We may also refund a payment in other cases where it seems fair, for example if you cancelled a day or two after a renewal and had not used the site in between. Just ask.
4. How refunds are paid
Email support@occultum.co.uk from the address on your account, saying which payment you mean. We confirm within three working days. Refunds go back to the card or payment method you paid with, through Stripe; banks usually show them within five to ten working days. We cannot refund to a different card.
5. The free plan
The Seeker plan costs nothing, so there is nothing to refund. You can delete your account at any time by emailing us.
6. Faults and your statutory rights
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 our service must be provided with reasonable care and skill, and digital content must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If something is wrong, tell us and we will put it right, or offer a price reduction or refund where that is the appropriate remedy. Nothing in this policy reduces those rights.
7. Chargebacks
If a charge looks wrong, please contact us before asking your bank to reverse it. We refund genuine mistakes promptly, and it is quicker for you than a chargeback.
