Gabriel, who brought the Qur'an down to Muhammad.
Qur'an 2:97–98
A searchable guide to the angels of scripture, the grimoires and the churches. The 72 angels of the Shem ha-Mephorash, drawn letter by letter from Exodus, on a wheel of the zodiac with the angel ruling now, and some 250 more from Enoch, Agrippa, the Heptameron, Trithemius, the Golden Dawn, the Orthodox, Coptic and Ethiopian churches and Islam, each with its own page and its other spellings. See the angels ruling the day, the hour and the Moon now; the archangels of the quarters with their stories and paintings; the seven before the throne in each tradition; the angels of the days, signs, mansions, seasons, winds and elements; and the nine choirs turning as Dante saw them. Each of the seventy-two binds a spirit of the Goetia, one link away in the Demons tool. Step the angels ruling now through the hours and days, or back to your birth; trace an angel's name, or your own, petal by petal on the Golden Dawn's rose to make its sigil; and put the nine choirs in order, then see whether you have Dionysius', Gregory the Great's or the order Dante gave up for the Paradiso.
mixer7 lessons explain the ideas behind this tool.
As called in the Lesser Banishing Ritual, with their stories, where they appear in scripture and how art shows them.

“Who is like God?”
The great prince who stands for Daniel's people, who disputes with the devil over the body of Moses, and who leads the angels against the dragon in Revelation and throws him down.
“I am Raphael, one of the seven holy angels” (Tobit 12:15); “I saw the seven angels which stood before God” (Revelation 8:2). Every tradition knows seven, but not the same seven. Tap a name for its page.

Agrippa and the Golden Dawn put the archangels at different points of the compass.
Outer ring: Agrippa's four princes of the angels over the winds and the four parts of the world, Michael in the east, Raphael in the west, Gabriel in the north and Nariel, “who by some is called Uriel”, in the south. Inner ring: the Golden Dawn's Lesser Banishing Ritual, which sets each archangel by its element instead: Raphael east for air, Michael south for fire, Gabriel west for water, Uriel north for earth.
AGRIPPA'S ANGELS OF THE ELEMENTS
In Paradiso XXVIII Dante sees God as a point of light too bright to look at, with nine rings of fire turning round it: the nearer the ring, the faster and brighter, because it loves more. Beatrice names them as the nine choirs. Tap a ring.

Matthew 18:10
Set the choirs from the highest, nearest God, to the lowest, nearest us. Tap one and then another to swap them, or use the arrows. Then see whose order you have made: the teachers did not all agree.
Hints: the Seraphim, burning with love, stand nearest God, and the Angels, the messengers, nearest us. The Thrones close the first three. Dante hung each choir on one of the nine heavens, from the outermost sphere down to the Moon.
The Orthodox churches name seven archangels, sometimes eight, and their icons give each a sign to know him by; the Coptic and Ethiopian churches add others.
