Seventeen guided practices, from grounding, silent sitting and the candle flame to the evening review, the four adorations of the Sun, Tattva visions, the LBRP and Rising on the Planes — read aloud, hands-free if you like, with a breath pacer, a filter for the time you have, a builder to chain practices into one session, a check-in before and after to see what settles you, a path to follow and a journal for what you notice. Each practice is drawn as a strip of its steps by length, and five have a figure that follows the step you pick: the Middle Pillar's five lights on the body, the body of light rising up the Tree, the square of the fourfold breath, the temple of the Lesser Banishing Ritual, and the Sun's four stations of Liber Resh for your place. Drag a timed step in the strip to make it longer or shorter, and your timings are kept; find your own breath by holding a circle as you breathe in, counted one to ten as in Zen, and pace the guided practices to it; the guided countdown is a ring you tap, with dots to jump between steps, and the calendar shows what you did on any day.
Free to use. Members also get: twelve more guided practices, from the Middle Pillar to Rising on the Planes. Membership
A timed session for the black mirror, a bowl of water or a crystal, with preparation, gazing and recording.
🔒 For members
A Scrying Session is one of the twelve guided practices for members. Grounding, the Fourfold Breath, the Candle Flame, Silent Sitting and the Evening Review stay free for everyone.
Press and hold the circle while you breathe in; let go while you breathe out. Breathe as you are, without changing it. Each out-breath is counted from one to ten and round again, as Zen beginners are taught to sit (susokukan, “counting the breath”): if you lose count, begin again at one.
A few breaths and your rhythm will show here.
Build a session from several practices
For example: ground, sit, then close. Add practices in the order you want them; they run as one guided session. (Tattva visions and sleep practices stay on their own.)
Nothing added yet.
LengthTimed steps × 1
GuidanceHands-free times every step and moves on by itself, so you can keep your eyes closed.
Background
HOW OTHER TRADITIONS MEDITATE
Buddhist: calm and insight
Samatha settles the mind and vipassanā sees clearly.
Samatha, calm, is taught with a single object such as the breath.
Vipassanā, insight, watches what arises and passes.
The breath practice of the Ānāpānasati Sutta joins the two (see the Breath page).

Guided mode keeps your screen awake, chimes softly at the end of each timed step, and can read the steps aloud. If any practice leaves you anxious or unsettled, stop, ground yourself, and return to the simpler practices. Meditation is not a substitute for medical or psychological care.
